Hello! My name is Jacquelyn. I’m a 19 year old currently studying Journalism at Texas State. I’ve decided to make this blog something that I would continuously enjoy writing about…fashion!
For as long as I can remember I’ve always had a love for anything that involved clothing as well as the minds of the designers behind such exquisite pieces. From old brands like Ed Hardy to newer brands like Tripp NYC, my style varies between gothic and rave inspired ensembles, therefore, my blog will consist of a variety of different garment styles that I find inspiring. Although many people understand the concept of showing their individuality through fashion, they are either afraid to show it or don’t know where to begin. I hope to use this blog as a way to illuminate to my audience how important it is to find pieces of clothing that make you feel powerful. Dressing in a way that makes you feel good and true to yourself is imperative in a world full of people that retain a hive-mind mentality and dress alike. Nowadays, designers and brands alike are reusing the same template for clothing which leaves the world in a uniform state instead of allowing people to express their individuality.
I believe that the first step towards loving yourself and the world around you is feeling comfortable in your own skin with the help of garments. Therefore, I will be blogging photos of any particular pieces I find interesting along with a backstory on the designer or the piece itself if I can find information on it. There are many hidden gems waiting to be found within the vintage stores of San Marcos and Houston so if you’re interested in exploring all the different genres of style especially modern-day gothic fashion, my blog is the perfect place for you!
