Tripp NYC

Welcome! In case you’re new here, I’m Jacquelyn and this blog serves to unveil hidden gothic and rave-like gems. An imperative brand that has created ongoing hype within the goth community would have to be Tripp NYC. Tripp is known for producing tops, pants, and skirts with bondage-like accessories added onto each piece.

Originally, I found this piece on Depop user’s @regulargal page. Depop is an international app that many utilize for buying, trading, and selling clothes whether vintage or brand new, therefore, it’s easy for many people to get caught up with gazing at the latest deadstock or vintage designer wear. Depop is a virtuous app for those in search of purchasing unique garments without having to travel to different cities or stores. Tripp NYC is a very popular brand that is being worn and sold by thousands of people on Depop, people who are interested in purchasing items like the attached mini skirt can find similar pieces in the link I provided.

Tripp NYC was founded in the early 1980s by Daang Goodman, initially, the 80s was when punk rock and gothic styles had just begun to branch out and influence the entire world. Artists like The Ramones and The Sex Pistols, which included the very distinguished rocker Sid Vicious, were very prevalent during this age making Tripp wear all the more appealing, I mean who wouldn’t want to dress similar to their favorite rockstars? Although Tripp predominantly contains garments that most people would refer to as “gothic” wear due to it’s dark and avant-garde nature, this continuously evolving brand doesn’t restrict themselves to just one style but instead pulls their influence from all genres of New York street wear. I believe Tripp NYC is an extremely innovative brand that never fails to prove their creativity, from designing clothing for modern-day rappers to insubordinate teenagers, Tripp NYC continues to provide unconventional attire with taboo additions such as bondage-like materials, chains, and hand studded gems. If you are interested in discovering more about Tripp NYC or brands that are similar in style, stay connected to my blog! I will continue to post eccentric pieces that catch my attention and hopefully yours as well! Here are the links to the Tripp NYC site and Depop. https://trippnyc.com/about/ https://www.depop.com/
